Mumbai, India — On August 2, 2025, Magicboard Motion Movies unveiled a deeply emotional and inspiring new song dedicated to the legacy of India’s braveheart, Neerja Bhanot. The song, written by acclaimed actress and debut lyricist Madhu Chandhock, is powerfully sung by Sa Re Ga Ma Pa winner Ishita Vishwakarma. The music is composed by Madhu Chandhock in collaboration with Divyaansh Vermaa.

The grand launch event was held at IMPAA (Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association) in Mumbai and was graced by leading film directors, writers, music producers, singers, and members of Neerja Bhanot’s family. Among the attendees were dignitaries from the film and music fraternity, who were visibly moved by the emotional depth of the song.

The song poetically expresses Neerja’s spirit addressing her mother, saying:

“Maa, don’t cry for me. Be proud of me. Though I am now with God, I will return to see you—sometimes as a bird, sometimes as a butterfly.”

The lyrics resonate with deep emotion and love, touching the hearts of all who heard them. Audience members were seen with tear-filled eyes, overcome with a sense of pride and grief.

Madhu Chandhock shared that she wrote the song during the filming of Neerja, directly on set, as she was deeply impacted by the story and the strength of Neerja’s mother. Over time, Madhu developed a close bond with the Bhanot family, which gave further meaning to this tribute. The project was completed with the support of her son, Kashyap Chandhock, in a spirit of selflessness and sincerity.

Akhil Bhanot, Neerja’s brother, and his family, who live in Chandigarh, sent a touching audio-visual tribute for the launch. In their message, they expressed heartfelt thanks to Madhu Chandhock and her family for preserving Neerja’s memory through this song.
